Since I've lately picked up modeling speed, I decided to resume something that isn't mine. This is an old kit of the Panther II by Dragon. It's owned by E.G. Ruiz, the brother of TV personality Korina Sanchez and a co-member in the International Plastic Modelers Society (IPMS) - Philippines. He asked among the group who'd want to do this Panther kit, and I sounded in. Thing is, three years have passed since he gave it to me, and I haven't been able to make progress on it. Time to catch up. It's a shame if I don't keep up with the promise.
This is the box art from another source:
Here's my current progress on the kit:
I sure hope to finish this within the year, E.G. is going to need this kit soon for the IPMS-Philippines 10th Nationals.
Visual commentary on various things. Most especially things I like, as well as things that intrigue me.

Winning US Destroyer Model
Back in 2005, I entered my build of the Dragon brand 1/350 scale model of the USS Ingersoll Spruance-class destroyer in the IPMS Nationals in SM Megamall. This class is now out of service from the US Navy, and this particular ship was sunk as a target. As you can see, my build won 3rd place in its category.
The kit has no railings, so I scratchbuilt them out of stretched sprue. I stretched the sprue over a candle flame. It was a tedious build. These days, I marvel that I had enough time for this. Glad to know my effort paid off in the end though.

Unboxing the GM Sniper
Next off, the 1/100 scale Master Grade GM Sniper from Bandai. I got this because I particularly like the GM series of mecha in Gundam, and this particular kit has lots of weapons.
Unboxing the AFV Club Centurion Mk 5
I got the AFV Club Centurion Mk 5 as one of the costly kits in my collection, and to do something different. I've done tanks before, but this is my first AFV Club kit and my first Centurion, which I've always wanted to do.

Gundam ZZ (Double Zeta)
Going back to gundams, one of my favorite among this metaseries is the Gundam Double Zeta. Its TV series aired in 1986 in Japan. It's also a design I quite like, having the look of a mean heavy-hitter with all those busy features, fins sticking out everywhere, and a mean double-barreled gun. I have its HGUC kit by Bandai.
