Bob Ross

Perhaps some of you recall a program on cable TV with a white guy with an afro do, always dressed in a long-sleeved shirt with rolled up sleeves, teaching people how to paint. Last year, I learned who that guy was: Bob Ross. Seeing his show makes me want to paint seriously (which I will do soon... yeah right).

Bob Ross's art program "The Joy of Painting" ran from 1983 to 1994. He died in 1995 from lymphoma. I'm sure some who will see his program for the first time even long after his death will develop a sense of missing him.
