Power Rangers: Rita Repulsa

I have often been fascinated with some Sorceress character designs. One particularly interesting character is Rita Repulsa from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. In the original Japanese version called Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger (Dinosaur Squadron Beast Rangers), she is known as Bandora. The actress was the late Machiko Soga, who played other villains in other series.

It came from this package, which was part of Power Rangers Samurai for a strange reason:

She has some similarities to the classic Disney villain Maleficent. So I suspect an influence. This kind of idea of using horn-like headdresses for the villain is pretty much predictable. Common fare, I think. But it is apt too.

From Disneyvillains.net
I have a witch character that is sort of inspired by Rita Repulsa's design. Though I intend this character of mine to be a good girl:

Well, so many ideas can come from so many other character designs.
